Lopez Island is filled with a vast collection of Wildlife and marine life animals and mammals, with more than 200 species of birds, 200 species of fish and hundreds of species of marine invertebrates. Rather your on water or land, you will encounter various unique Wildlife and Marine animals in their natural habitats.

From land, you may come across such Wildlife as: Bald Eagles, Red-tailed Hawks, Owls, Seagulls and Deer. One thing you won't miss seeing on Lopez is the local rabbit or "bunny". Lopez is home to thousands of wild rabbits, you can get a good site of them around dusk. Spencer Spit is probably the best place to find the little creatures day or night.

The marine life on Lopez is a spectacle in its own. You will find such things in the waters of Lopez as: Killer Whales, King Salmon, Seals, Sea-Lions, Otter's, Porpoises, Jellyfish, Cod and Octopuses.

From shore there are still many things to see, try to plan your trip to the beach when the tide is low, when it opens the gates to many more wonderful sealife. Such things you can look for along the shorelines are: Oysters, Clams, Sea eninmies, Starfish, Dungeness Crab, Rock Crab and Sea Birds.

Lopez is also home to many Farm animals, when on the island you may see such Farm Animals as: Horses, Sheep, Cows, Chickens, Goats and even Llamas.
